Regenerative medicine stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal, often eliminating the need for surgery and significantly decreasing downtime. Our regenerative therapies include PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), and BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate).

Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative Medicine Modalities
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is a concentrated injection of the patient’s own platelets. This releases growth factors into the damaged joint or tissue and recruits the body’s reparative cells to accelerate the healing process. Benefits of PRP include pain relief from chronic injuries that have been slow to heal, reduced downtime, and little to no side effects because the injections are created using the patient’s own blood. - Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)
With BMAC, the patient’s own bone marrow is harvested and concentrated into an injection that contains growth factors and stem cells. Unlike other cells of the body, bone marrow cells are “undifferentiated”, which means they have the ability to replicate themselves into a variety of tissue types, such as bone, tissue, and cartilage.
What We Treat
- Arthritis
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Tendon Tears
- Flat Foot Syndrome
- Stress Fractures
- Heel Pain
- Surgical Healing
Arthritis
We will often use a cortisone injection for arthritis pain first, because if the area responds well to cortisone, then we know PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) can be effective in providing long-term relief.
Achilles Tendonitis
Achilles tendonitis, or tiny tears in the tendon, often respond well to PRP. PRP works by helping your own cells regenerate, reducing scar tissue formation and controlling inflammation.
Tendon Tears
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a minimally-invasive approach that works to repair tendon tears by using the patient’s own blood to stimulate growth at the site of damage, and promote rapid healing.
Flat Foot Syndrome
Flat Foot Syndrome occurs when chronic degeneration of the tendon causes the arch in the foot to fall, often leading to swelling and pain. We use a comprehensive approach to treat this condition. Treatment options range from conservative measures like using a walking boot, custom AFO brace, and orthotics, to more advanced options like regenerative medicine.
Stress Fractures
Stress fractures, or small breaks in the bone, are a common overuse injury in athletes. Orthotics, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) are all effective treatment options.
Heel Pain
Heel pain is often caused by plantar fasciitis, or sometimes can be a result of Achilles tendonitis. Regenerative medicine can reduce inflammation and relieve pain.
Surgical Healing
Although regenerative medicine can often be used to avoid surgery, these therapies can be very helpful in jumpstarting the healing process and reducing scar tissue formation, when surgery is needed.
